This month Original Talent are joining in with Pride celebrations, and here at JHI we have three LGBTQIA+ productions currently in London which we are extremely proud to be a part of. These are the hit comedy Afterglow playing at the Southwark Playhouse this summer, new musical The View Upstairs staring Tyrone Huntley, Adam Mientus and John Partridge and Vincent River, playing at the Trafalgar Studios which highlights so many important topics during Pride month.

Afterglow began their run at Southwark Playhouse on Wednesday to a sold-out house. Premiering in the UK after a multiple-extended hit run Off-Broadway, Afterglow is a ‘steamy stripped-down look at gay intimacy’. We are looking forward to see what the UK press think next week. If it is anything like the social media reaction, we are very excited.

This week saw the announcement of an exciting series of events at the National Theatre, in collaboration with Fane Productions, to bring some of the best and brightest authors to the stage for a month-long celebration of literary genius. With names such as Margaret Atwood, Matt Haig and Nigella Lawson Authors on Stage promises to be an amazing season!

On Monday we welcomed BalletBoyz into the West End as their run of Them/Us began. The performance has received multiple 5* reviews and continues at the Vaudeville for another week.

A whole lotta history was made last night as SIX the musical held their very first singalong performance! A sold-out audience of fans clad in the get up of their favourite Queens sang their hearts out and raised the roof at the Arts Theatre!

Working with our wonderful friends at Birmingham Stage Company, we are thrilled to announce this week that Billionaire Boy will be going to the Bloomsbury Theatre running from 14th December until 5th January 2020.  This is the amazing new production of David Walliams’ best-selling story!

Look out for Fashion Freak Show coming to the Southbank this summer! Ben and Jo travelled to glorious Paris this week to attend a performance of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Fashion Freak Show at the Folies Bergere. The production is an homage to the 50 years JPG has been in the fashion industry and the rest of the team can’t wait to see it when it is here in London.
