Goodness, is it time for a cocktail yet?
JHI took to the Ham Yard bowling alley for an evening of great fun for our summer social! One thing we learnt is that Fi should definitely stick to the numbers and that Aimee is the queen of glorious comebacks.
It’s a WRAP! Last week Harriet and Ben travelled to Media City, Manchester, for the filming of the final episode of The Goes Wrong Show. We cannot wait for this to be crashing (quite literally) onto our screens later this year on BBC One.
We love a UK premiere, and Doctor Zhivago is one to beg, borrow or steal a ticket for. Starring Ramin Karimloo and Celinde Schoenmaker, the Nobel-prize winning novel takes you on an epic journey of heart-breaking romance can be experienced as a UK concert premiere at Cadogan Hall on 1st September 2019.
The View UpStairs is making its #HouseholdName at SOHO Theatre, making a splash last night at their first preview which was completely sold out. This beautiful hit new musical is playing until 24th August and should not be missed!
Speaking of splashes, Afterglow will be taking its final bow at Southwark Playhouse this Saturday. The hugely successful off-Broadway transfer was hailed as the must see of the season and a blisteringly honest, commendably non-judgemental examination of gay intimacy. We hope to be taking a shower with Josh, Alex and Darius again soon!
On Thursday we announced an additional date for Nadiya Hussain’s tour, Finding My Voice. Nadiya will be coming to The Stables in Milton Keynes on the 9th of December to talk about her book and how, at the core of it all, we are essentially tackling the same issues despite our cultural, social and religious differences.
GOSH! It’s Joanna Lumley and Gyles Brandreth in conversation at the Theatre Royal Haymarket! Last Friday, tickets went on sale for absolutely fabulous event happening on the 15th September to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Masterclass. Laughter and tears guaranteed!
The Receipts Podcast is hitting the road, with their highly anticipated new show Receipts Uncut going on sale today. This week brings the press nights of two shows at The Vaults. Games for Lovers had a fantastic press night on Wednesday, with some great reviews to kick off the run for this hilarious, relatable show. The Falcon’s Malteser’s press night is tonight, and we’re really excited to see this Fringe hit take the Vaults by storm!
This week we also saw the last venue, Cambridge Arts Theatre, go on sale for our A Woman of No Importance tour. Having been performed in the West End during the Wilde season at the Vaudeville, we are very excited for this production to be brought to the rest of the country.
