6 weeks until Christmas!

The countdown until Christmas has finally started now that SKATE at Somerset House has opened, which is helping us all get into the Christmas spirit!

As some of you may have seen on our social media we have been doing a JHI Bake Off sweepstake and, now it’s all over, we can finally announce our winners! After drawing Rahul in the sweepstake, Natalie won first prize and, after her show-stopping sausage rolls, Fi was the winner of Best Bake! Thank you to the wonderful Aimee for being our extra-curricular activities coordinator!!

Liza Pulman has finished another sell-out run at The Other Palace, but not to worry if you missed her because we are expecting a big announcement on Monday so watch this space! It might have something to do with Liza Sings Streisand returning to London West End in 2019…

We had the pleasure of seeing Malala and her father Ziauddin at the Central Westminster Hall on Saturday where they explored their passionate campaigning for girls’ education and lifelong fight for equality. It was a sold-out event and was inspiring to listen to their incredible story. We were also very lucky to attend Grayson Perry’s last show at the London Palladium on Sunday where he discussed the ‘cultural divisions in the topsy turvy world of Brexit and Trump’!

So, we are sad to say goodbye to the tours of Nigella Lawson, Grayson Perry and Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai, but we’re saying a big hello to both Sir Michael Parkinson and Dame Diana Rigg. We are thrilled to continue our work with Fane Productions on these wonderful shows!

An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson will be at the Gillian Lynn Theatre to mark the publication of his new book George Best: A Memoir where he will be in conversation with his son and co-author Mike. Come and join this national treasure on the 11th December to hear his thoughts and reflections on why a man who seemingly had everything tragically decided to throw it all away.

An Evening with Dame Diana Rigg will be in Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Southbank Centre on the 9th of March. Dame Diana will talk us through her extraordinary career including her much-loved roles from The Avengers’ Emma Peel to Lady Olenna Tyrell in Game of Thrones.
